Find yourself drifting off into space, as the Insight Investment Astronomy Photographer of the Year exhibition returns to the National Maritime Museum with more out-of-this-world images.
See distant galaxies, examine the Milky Way or catch a glimpse of neighbouring planets through 32 images of the night sky, taken by entrants to the annual competition.
The winning entries from the nine main categories sit alongside shortlisted photographs, covering everything from distant supernovae to shots captured from the surface of our planet.
Among the highlights are a colourful capture of The Horsehead and Flame Nebula by Conor Matherne, an atmospheric view of the Southern Lights in Aurora Australis from Beerbarrel Beach snapped by James Stone, and Nicolai Brügger’s icy Road to Glory.
The competition is the largest of its kind in the world, with more than 4,600 entries in 2019 from astrophotographers based in 90 countries.
This exhibition is closed until further notice.
