This landmark Barbican exhibition shines a spotlight on the electrifying history of cabarets and clubs in modern art through the lens of pioneering artists.

See more than 200 works of art from London to New York, Mexico City to Paris, as well as life-size recreations of avant-garde spaces.

Spanning the 1880s to the 1960s, the exhibition explores the heady atmosphere of Berlin clubs in Weimar Germany; the buzz of the jazz scene in New York’s Harlem; the energy of the Mbari clubs in 1960s Nigeria, and much more.
