Enjoy more than 300 artworks in Picasso and Paper at the Royal Academy of Arts.
The exhibition explores Picasso’s working methods and creative spirit over a career spanning 80 years. Among the many highlights is an extraordinary collage, Women at Their Toilette (1937-38, Musée national Picasso-Paris). This is the first time the piece has been shown in the UK for more than 50 years.
To put the paper art in context, many are displayed alongside related paintings and sculptures exploring corresponding themes.
Check out Le mystère Picasso, an engrossing 1956 documentary showing Picasso drawing with felt-tip pens on blank newsprint.
