What is Tosca about?
Set in Rome in 1800, opera singer Floria Tosca plots to save her captured lover Cavaradossi from the cruel Baron Scarpia, Chief of Police. In a devastating twist, her lover is sentenced by Scarpia to be killed unless Tosca yields to Scarpia’s desires for her, resulting in fateful consequences for all.
