Ponder over the creative menu of tapas-style sharing plates and larger mains, which feature some rarely used ingredients, from Himalayan morels to rabbit.

Highlights include Keralan-style lobster Allepey curry, seekh gilafi (minced rabbit kebab cooked in a tandoor) and baked neeli (mussels cooked in lemon, coriander and butter).

Before or after dinner, head upstairs to speakeasy-style Vijay’s Bar & Lounge with its cosy outside terrace. Here, the drinks menu boasts inventive cocktails made using unusual ingredients including rose, fennel seed, star anise and fresh coriander.
